Cookie policy
apeari.com uses essential cookies, browser storage, and security checks. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only with your consent. We do not use advertising cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) works in a similar way. Their use is governed by Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024.
2. What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-apeari (apeari_session in development) | Essential first-party cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account. The cookie is encrypted, unavailable to scripts (HttpOnly), sent only over HTTPS, and restricted to apeari.com (SameSite=Strict). | Until you close your browser, or up to 14 days after your last activity if you select “Keep me signed in”. Removed when you sign out. |
apeari-analytics-consent-v1 | Essential localStorage | Remembers whether you allow or refuse optional analytics. | 180 days, or until you clear your browser data. An expired preference is ignored and we ask again. |
_ga and _ga_* | Optional first-party analytics cookies | Google Analytics distinguishes visits and measures website usage. Created only after you allow analytics. | Up to 180 days from creation, without extending expiry on each visit. Removed when you withdraw consent. |
sveltekit:* keys (such as sveltekit:history-info and sveltekit:snapshot) | Essential sessionStorage | Preserves scroll position and form state when navigating backwards and forwards. | Until you close the browser tab. |
Registration and sign-in also use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from bots. We do not enable Turnstile pre-clearance. For details about technical signals and Cloudflare’s processing, see our Privacy policy and the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
3. Your choice
Essential storage supports sign-in, security, navigation, and remembering your cookie preference. Optional analytics is off until you select “Allow analytics”. Selecting “Essential only” keeps it off and does not restrict access to the service. Dismissing an earlier essential-cookie notice does not count as analytics consent.
When you allow analytics, your browser loads Google's tag for Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4N65S5ME46). Google receives usage information such as pages viewed, interactions, browser and device information, and connection data. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. See our Privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
4. Managing cookies
You can change your choice or withdraw analytics consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer or the button below. Selecting “Essential only” stops collection, removes this site's Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page to unload the tag. It does not erase information already sent to Google.
You can delete or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies prevents you from signing in, but does not affect access to public pages.
5. Contact
For questions about cookies or personal data, email [email protected]. See our Privacy policy for more information.
